Howard Hersh is a third-generation American artist born in 1948. While he has created art from an early age, it was in 1984 when he moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico that he focused all of his attention on being an artist. Since then, he has had over 60 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 250 group shows. His work reflects his lifelong passion for nature and beauty and is in corporate collections including IBM, Hyatt and Disney, to mention just a few. We found smaller works currently being sold for $2,000 with larger pieces commanding $10,000+. We’ve included the original label for this piece, titled Approaching Fall, from the Waxlander Gallery in Santa Fe where it was originally sold in the 1990’s. We also have an original copy of an article on this series which appeared in Focus/Santa Fe Magazine in June/July 1997. This piece is mixed media on paper and is in its original mat and frame. The colors are vibrant and crisp, and this work is absolutely stunning!
