James Beck began painting in the 1980’s in San Francisco, CA and is known for his bold use of color and texture and his unique narratives that accompany each piece. His works can be found in private collections across the country and have been shown in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Palm Springs. This piece, O.V.E. (Ordinary Versus Extraordinary) is his first work after a 20 year hiatus from the art world. Acrylic on board in a heavy wood gold gilt frame, O.V.E. has a lot of depth and movement. We thought it was an interesting piece to add to the Robert James Gallery, and is likely the first of more to come.
